Mom is looking great!
Drove out to Shauna's on Saturday the 28th and visited with Mom. It is going on three weeks since they moved her out to Shauna's. She has a cute room and Shauna has gone to great lengths to make it Mom's own. There are pictures of the family on the wall and it is very cozy. Mom seemed in good spirits and looks better than she has in a long time. She has a new will to live and I think Shauna enjoys the company.

Emily is blessed on Sunday, March 29th
So Emily Jean was blessed on Sunday. Randy wasn't feeling well and I went to church without him. They talked about food storage and emergancy preparedness. I picked up Randy and we went to see Emily get blessed. During the opening song - nothing really emotional- I started crying for no reason. I think Heather was poking me. She wouldn't miss out on an occassion like this. Mark gave her a wonderful blessing and Rachael bore a fabulous testimony, which I started crying again. No kleenex around so Rachael threw me Emi's burp cloth (red no less) and I had to dab my eyes with that. The tears just kept flowing. I felt like a crazy lady, but it felt good afterwards. We went over to Rachael's after and had great food. I didn't even take a picture. Wish I had of now!

New Garden Spot
Sheryl McGlochlin has created a community garden group and is using our "weed patch" to grow a wonderful garden. There will be corn in our patch and other veggies in other gardens that we will be able to partake of. She had a group out the other night digging up the weeds and hand tilling the ground. She said the plot should be ready to plant this Saturday. All we have to wait for is the weather. People come from all around to participate. They get a punch card and have to contribute 25 hours of labor. The harvest is then shared. Our contribution is the ground and water. I am very excited. I have tried to grow a garden each year, and then lose interest around the end of July when it is too hot. It will be a fantastic thing to watch grow and it will look like we are very ambitious (it's all about image!) Pictures will soon follow!
